There was this lady who was closely connected to me. I grew up being around her and an incident occurred where I did something that was a great offense to her. Apparently she was hurt to the point where she allegedly said some nasty things. I said allegedly because it was through hearsay that I learnt of the manner in which she handled the incident. It was not until I had the following dream that it was confirmed that the allegations were true.
I dreamt that I was standing at the side of the road and I saw the said lady. She started throwing some small, sharp stones at me. I dodged attempting to avoid being hit when I realized that the stones were not reaching me. Then four young men, looking like basketball players, stood around me and encircled me facing outwards protecting me. I stood still in the midst of the young men while the lady continued throwing the stones. They, however, kept falling short of me. She started getting frustrated because the stones were not hitting me. Then it started to rain. As it rained, she had difficulty seeing yet she persisted with throwing the stones. Then in complete frustration she gave up and said that if her eldest daughter (calling her by name) was here it would have been a different story. I replied to her that there was nothing her daughter could have done had she beeen there and then the dream ended.
“… here is what ADONAI is saying to you: ‘Don’t be afraid or distressed by this great horde; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15 CJB
I want to encourage you today that no matter what is coming up against you, do not be afraid because the LORD has you covered. Whether it is one person or a whole army, do not be afraid but stand firm and stand strong. The LORD will dispatch His angels and instruct them concerning you – to keep you and guard you. The LORD will frustrate every plan of the enemy geared towards destroying and harming you. Therefore,
“Stop being so fearful! Remain steady (stand still), and you will see how ADONAI is going to save you … ADONAI will do battle for you. Just calm yourselves down!” Exodus 14:13-14 CJB
Father I thank You for fighting for me. I am grateful for Your covering, for Your angels and for Your presence. I thank You for frustrating every plan of the enemy. LORD, I stand still and surrender to Your sovereignty. Continue to be my Shelter and Keeper, in and through Yeshua HaMashiach, amen!
