With the hand of YHVH upon me, YHVH carried me out by his Spirit and set me down in the middle of the valley, and it was full of bones. He had me pass by all around them—there were so many bones lying in the valley, and they were so dry! He asked me, “Human being, can these bones live?” I answered, “Adonai ELOHIM! Only you know that!” Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones! Say to them, ‘Dry bones! Hear what YHVH has to say! To these bones Adonai ELOHIM says, “I will make breath enter you, and you will live. I will attach ligaments to you, make flesh grow on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you. You will live, and you will know that I am YHVH.”‘” So I prophesied as ordered; and while I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound; it was the bones coming together, each bone in its proper place. As I watched, ligaments grew on them, flesh appeared and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them. Next he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath! Prophesy, human being! Say to the breath that Adonai ELOHIM says, ‘Come from the four winds, breath; and breathe on these slain, so that they can live.'” So I prophesied as ordered, and the breath came into them, and they were alive! They stood up on their feet, a huge army! Isaiah 37:1-10 CJB (PERSONALIZED)
There are times and seasons for everything. While silence is at times necessary and required, it is essential and crucial for us to open up our mouth and speak when it is time to do so. We know that the LORD is all mighty, all powerful and can do all things. However, at times, we need to partner with Him by being obedient to His instruction. Obedience in these instances is what releases what we need.
In the scripture reference above, we see that the LORD placed Prophet Isaiah in the middle of a valley of skeletons and was asked if the skeletons can come back to life. Prophet Isaiah was placed in a seemingly impossible situation and was asked by YHVH if the impossible can happen. His reply was, “Sovereign Creator, only you know that. You are the only one who is able to bring into existence what is not yet existing.”
Like Prophet Isaiah, I would like you to look around you and examine all that is happening; do you believe that things can turn around or improve? Do you believe that life can spring forth from the midst of this hard place? Sure, you can say that the LORD can do it, He will do it; but do you really have the full confidence and faith to believe that He will do what He says He will do?
After Prophet Isaiah’s response to the LORD, he was challenged to open his mouth and speak to the situation and He did. What has the LORD spoken concerning your situation? What promise has He given? I challenge you now to begin to open your mouth and declare this word that was given to you.
As Prophet Isaiah stepped out in obedience and began to speak, things began to change. As soon as he opened his mouth and began to speak, there was a shaking and a shifting. In the midst of his obedience, things started to align and a change in the condition occurred.
While he was still speaking, things were changing. In the same way, when you begin to align yourself, walk in obedience and open your mouth to declare the word of the LORD, you will begin to see a change in your circumstances. You do not have to complete your act of obedience before you see the manifestation of your change. Rather, in the midst of your obedience, you will begin to see your change manifest.
The intent of the LORD is to bring a complete change in your current state. You may not see a complete turnaround in one get-go. It may happen in phases. If it does, do not be discouraged. Be encouraged every step of the way and continue in obedience.
Even though the skeleton became bodies, they were not alive; BUT there was progress. It was a process. Prophet Isaiah was instructed to speak again. When he, in obedience, spoke again there was a total breakthrough.
The bones lived!
You may be in the midst of your process and you may be required to complete a specific act before the LORD over and over again. It may seem redundant and ineffective because the full promise is not yet manifested. Continue on in obedience. Do not give up!
I encourage you to speak and continue speaking as instructed by YHVH until you see the full manifestation of your promise. Let the breath and life of YHVH be released through His Word in your mouth. Be an active participant in your process. Partner with YHVH by walking in obedience. Release life through your words. Be encourage at every step and do not give up!
Even now, open your mouth!
